Dermaplaning, sometimes called epidermal levelling, is a safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) of the face.
Our dermaplaning training course is a one-day masterclass covering a mix of theory and practical application. You will see, feel and perform a dermaplaning treatment on the day.
Dermaplaning is a great addon treatment to work in with your existing facial menu to offer clients instant, visible results without downtime. A controlled method of exfoliation, removing both vellus hair and dead skin, this is a non-invasive treatment suitable for the majority of skin types.
Our starter kit (included) will enable you to perform 30+ treatments so you can hit the ground running post-training. With the potential to charge $50-100 per treatment, you have the potential to earn a minimum of $1250 in revenue once certified.
This course is run by our accredited trainer who has over 20 years of experience in the industry and includes certification, workbook, and support post-training. We work on models on the day as well as covering the theory aspects.
This is an in-person group class. We recommend at least 1 year of industry experience before attending.
Class time is 6 hours.

Just a wee word about dermaplaning training… it was absolutely fbaulous and I’m pleasantly surprised how busy I have been! Thanks Sylvie for the thorough training session.
I am so happy with all of my training through cosmetologists. Dermaplaning was a scary prospect for me initially but everything was explained thoroughly, the pros and cons of dermaplaning, the structure and function of the skin, contraindications and the hands on training. The most beneficial part of it though, is being able to ask questions and ask for advice after the training is finished, I appreciate having that ongoing support which is so important. The equipment and product are very high quality, the trainers are knowledgable and friendly with years of experience in the industry. I just cant recommend them highly enough!
Great feedback so far from clients, the training you guys have by the sounds of things has been far superior to others I’ve talked too, so thank you!!
Dermaplaning is recommended for all skin types except those with active breakouts and men with heavy facial hair. If your client has active acne there are other treatments available that would be more beneficial, and it is necessary to wait until breakouts are healed before trying this treatment. This is, however, a great treatment for pregnant/nursing clients who want exfoliation without the use of chemicals.
