Dermaplaning, sometimes called epidermal levelling, is a safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) of the face.
Obtain your dermaplane training and certification from DermaplanePro – the global authority on dermaplaning.
With our dermaplane certification course, you’ll be ready to offer dermaplaning to your clients right away. We hold in-person workshops at our head office/training centre in Pukekohe, Auckland as well as offering online and one-on-one training.
In-Person Dermaplaning Training

Our training uses a two-part approach to help you learn quickly but thoroughly. (Investing in education is important, but we also understand in the beauty business, time away is money) For a list of 2026 dates, see our training calendar here.
NZ classes are run by our accredited trainers who are internationally qualified beauty therapists, educators for Cosmetologists NZ and certified by DermaplanePro International.
Part 1: Online Course (Self-Paced) – complete the theory portion on your own before your training day. This includes the Dermaplaning Manual and demonstration videos. By finishing this beforehand, your one-day class can focus entirely on hands-on practice.
Part 2: One-Day In-Person Class – this is your hands-on training day where you’ll practice what you’ve learned. With the theory out of the way – we get to spend the day honing your skills – not listening to an educator speak! You’ll receive your kit with all the tools and supplies needed for 25 dermaplaning facials.

What's the best way to learn dermaplaning? Can I just watch videos?
Taking our In-Person Course is the best way to learn and with time, master dermaplaning. You can’t learn from just watching a single video or having a friend show you how she does it. There’s a lot more to it than that. We have developed a two-part training program that provides everything you need to be successful in a very short time, including supplies, forms, protocols, combination treatments, etc.
