Armed with espresso and over a decade of industry experience (including 7 owning a beauty clinic), James is just as likely to be the one answering the phone as our account reps. Aside from copious quantities of coffee, he is rather fond of Asian-fusion cooking and hiking.

I have been in the industry for 8 years. My experience ranges from being on counter at Farmers in the beauty department, beauty/laser tech at Caci, clinic coordinator in a medi-spa to being a business owner then I taught our trade at NZ’s top beauty school before being in my current role here.
My position at Cosmetologists is all of the above wrapped into one. I thrive on being able to support you all in your journey of business through education and sales.
A little bit about me, I have an amazing Fiancé who is also a business owner in the tradie world. We recently built our first house in Northern Waikato and we also have two fur babies Loki the lab & Freya the fluffy cat.

Sylvie is well-known on the beauty scene in New Zealand, having worked in the industry for almost three decades, both as a therapist and more recently trainer for some of the countries leading skincare brands. An internationally qualified beauty therapist, she splits her time between salon clients and our education department. Proud cat-mum of two, she also has THE best wardrobe on the team. (Seriously – we’re jealous)

Carika started off as a customer of ours and wowed us so much, we had to offer her a role as a trainer. She owns a salon in Christchurch (and still somehow manages to spend time with her husband and two kids!). Holding both a beauty therapy diploma and adult education cert, she brings a wealth of practical experience to her classes. Known as the one with the loudest laugh cackle, we always know when she is in the office and miss her infectious laughter when she isn’t!
