Dermaplaning, sometimes called epidermal levelling, is a safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) of the face.
Our dermaplaning training course is a one-day masterclass covering a mix of theory and practical application. You will see, feel and perform a dermaplaning treatment on the day. Can’t make a class? We also have online training available.

We are DermaplanePro New Zealand, the international leader in dermaplaning training. Once certified, you have the ability to earn $1500 – $3000 in revenue with the starter kit alone.
While we highly recommend attending an in-person class if you can, online training is the perfect solution for busy professionals who need more flexibility in scheduling and/or prefer individual training.
Learn at your own pace, and when you’re ready for hands-on, we’ll use Google Meet or Zoom for one-on-one video conferencing. It’s like having a trainer come to you without the additional travel time and expense. Hands-on training can be scheduled weekends or evenings to accommodate your busy schedule. You will need a model for one hour, at the conclusion of the training, and with a little practice, you’ll be ready to get started.
We've partnered with DermaplanePro to provide the “best of the best” when it comes to Dermaplaning training and supplies. Not only do we work with the pioneer of epidermal levelling herself, Rikki Kusy, but educators globally to ensure our methods/training is relevant. Cosmetologists NZ is also a member of the New Zealand Association of Registered Beauty Professionals.
Oh, and our kiwi educators are qualified beauty therapists, hold seperate adult education certificates AND are DermaplanePro International certified. (Seriously, they've got the goods!)
Not all dermaplaning training is created equal. In New Zealand, the beauty industry training scene is largely unregulated. Virtually anyone can start teaching and call themselves an “educator”. Some cheaper courses may over-promise, teach incorrect techniques, outdated methods or aren't comprehensive. We encourage all trainees to do their research before deciding on a training provider.
