Basic Rules:
1) Apply wax in the direction of the hair growth, remove against.
2) Keep hand alongside of the body when you are removing, do not pop your hand out into the air.
3) Keep the skin tight at all times. Have the customer help you on areas where you feel you need assistance.
Directions:
FACE (BROWS, LIPS, CHIN, BEARD, NECKLINE, HAIRLINE, EARS, NOSE):
- Dry wipe to remove makeup.
- Apply wax in as many areas as possible for most efficient use of time. Apply wax evenly leaving good edges so you do not have to pick to get the wax started.
- Picking is very irritating for the skin and the client. For lips, go over lip edge to get the hairs in the corners of the mouth and along the lip. (Do not do this if lips are chapped, as it will pull off the skin.)
- After waxing, use a drop of Post Wax Essential Oil on each area to soothe and calm the skin while reducing irritation, bleeding or itching.
- Also use Blemish Control Gel if clients are prone ot breakouts or if it is their first time getting waxed. Use Post Wax Soothing Cream for clients who turn extremely red.
UNDERARMS, BIKINI AND BRAZILIAN:
- Wipe the area with Berodin Lavender Lotion and apply a SMALL amount of Berodin Jasmine Oil.
- Using Berodin Blue Wax, apply evenly with good edges, and make sure the wax extends past the area of the hair. That way, when you are getting to the edge, you are not puling hairs and irritating your customer.
- After waxing, apply a few drops of Post Wax Essential Oil to each area. This soothes and calms areas that bleed (mostly underarms).
- Also use Blemish Control Gel for clients are prone to ingrown hairs or breakouts. Use Post Wax Soothing Cream to calm redness or inflammation.
